Why is kindergarten important?
Kindergarten is a crucial part of your child’s educational development, preparing them for school and beyond. It’s not just about reading, writing, and math skills; it’s also about developing valuable social and emotional skills. Kindergarten can enhance your child’s awareness, confidence, and self-esteem, providing a vital foundation for future success.
The Victorian Government recognizes the importance of kindergarten and has introduced the Free Kinder program to help give every child a great start in life. Free Kinder provides funding for up to 15 hours of kindergarten per week for three and four-year-olds.
Long Day care and sessional kinder program
At Green Kids Early Learning, we offer a comprehensive Long Day Care (LDC) program with kindergarten sessions. Our center operates five days a week, 52 weeks a year, except on public holidays, providing continuous and reliable care for your child.
Our programs are approved and proudly carry the Victorian Government’s Kinder Tick, ensuring adherence to the highest quality standards. We undergo the same rigorous approval process as standalone kindergartens, ensuring that our program meets all necessary criteria.
Every program in Victoria must:
- Deliver a quality early childhood education program to children aged three and above.
- Have the program delivered by a bachelor-qualified early childhood Educator (ECT) as per the National Quality Framework (NQF).
- Use the Early Years Learning Framework to guide our educational approach.
Our LDC hours mean your child receives extra kinder enrichment from a bachelor-qualified professional throughout the year. This ensures your child benefits from consistent, high-quality early childhood education in a nurturing and engaging environment.
3 and 4-year-old kinder :-
Green Kids Early Learning offers high-quality, play-based kindergarten programs designed to enable young minds to flourish. We teach fundamental language, literacy, and numeracy skills along with social and emotional learning to help prepare children for school and future success. Our caring and qualified educators tailor programs to each child’s individual needs and interests, ensuring they thrive and meet key developmental milestones.
Each month, we organise an excursion or incursion based on children’s interests and developmental milestones.
What Will Your Child Learn?
Boundless possibilities await your child, shaped by both individual and group aspirations, and guided by the most significant influence on their learning – your family!
Emotional Confidence: We encourage exploration of self-identity, expression, and comprehension of emotions in themselves and others, building confidence and fostering resilience. This creates a solid foundation for embracing the new learning environment and routines of school.
Social Connectivity: We nurture connections and friendships within the classroom and playground, promoting positive relationships with peers and educators.
Fundamental Learning: We equip your child with essential early literacy and numeracy skills, mastery of writing tools, and development of creative thinking abilities. These foundational skills are pivotal for success in reading, writing, numeracy, and problem-solving.
Physical Health and Emotional Wellbeing: We cultivate knowledge of healthy living, enhance self-care practices, and refine physical skills. This empowerment ensures your child’s readiness for active participation in schoolyard play and self-care routines within the school environment.
At Green Kids Early Learning, we’re committed to nurturing well-rounded individuals who are poised to embrace their educational journey with confidence, curiosity, and excitement. Join us in shaping the brightest future for your child!
